This sentiment resonates deeply with the work we do at Aberdeenshire RFC. Our own women’s rugby mentorship program has not only helped develop essential skills, but has also fostered a renewed sense of self-belief and leadership among our participants. “Our mission has consistently revolved around utilizing rugby to inspire, educate, and empower youth in underserved communities,” explains event organizer Kevin Battle. “This year’s championship guarantees an even more significant impact, with visits to local universities, elementary and middle schools, and significant city landmarks, culminating in a thrilling all-day 7’s tournament.”

By exposing young people, particularly those from diverse backgrounds, to passionate role models and accessible pathways into rugby, we are actively shaping the future of the sport.
